Seven county girls named to All-District 11-AAA team

Seven girls players from Williamson County schools were named to the All-District 11-AAA regular season team Saturday.

Brentwood senior Paige Parker was honored as the league’s Most Valuable Player while teammate Olivia Shealy was also honored on the team.

Independence coach Lee Nachand was named Coach of the Year after leading the Lady Eagles to a share of their first district regular-season title.

Lady Eagles named to the All-District team are Laina Buche, Hannah Winters, and J.T. Twaddle.

Franklin was represented by Anna Patton and Ravenwood by Lexi McKay.

McKay, Patton, Parker, Shealy, and Winters were also named to the All-Tournament team – along with Centennial’s Jordan Johnson and Indy’s Tayla Harmon.

Hillsboro’s Nicole Bowers was named tournament MVP following a 24-point showing in the championship game, a 48-33 win over the Lady Eagles.
