Spring Hill juveniles arrested for aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor
Three Williamson County juveniles were arrested and charged with 24 counts related to aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor April 4, according to Lt. Justin Whitwell of the Spring Hill Police Department. Whitwell said in a media statement that officers had been investigating the suspects since October 2012. The events began as “sexting” between juveniles, but later developed into an exploitation investigation.
This led detectives to the three individuals allegedly orchestrating a collection and exchanging of nude photos of female juvenile classmates. Authorities believe these individuals stored these photos in email accounts and shared the access passwords with other classmates to view. In some instances threats were made to the female juveniles that copies of the pictures would be sent to their parents, other students or possibly be displayed throughout the school. Authorities believe the suspects extorted more photos for their collection. The three juveniles were transported to the Williamson County Juvenile Detention Center.
