Ravenwood softball takes season's first Battle of the Woods

Ravenwood’s softball team continued to roll Monday, winning their rivalry game with Brentwood 11-0.

Lady Raptor pitcher Raygan Greer bettered her record to 10-2, striking out six batters while allowing only one Lady Bruin hit.

Ravenwood scored four runs in the bottom of the second inning and seven in the fourth to bust to game open.

Senior Erin Johnson had two runs batted in and a triple for the Lady Raptors. Lauren Myers and Lauren DuPont also had two RBI games while Susan Huddleston and Madison Zoeller each had one.

Their season continues April 9 against Independence – their closest competition in the District 11-AAA standings.

The Lady Eagles beat Lipscomb Academy 8-0 April 8.

Tuesday’s game is scheduled for a 6 p.m. first pitch at Ravenwood.
