Authorities have charged Randolph Maidens with criminal homicide in the shooting death of his wife Rachael Maidens, who was found deceased in the couple’s home at 64 Governors Way in Brentwood April 21.
Maidens became the subject of a manhunt late Sunday afternoon after police discovered the body of his wife with a gunshot wound after responding to a welfare check at approximately 5:49 p.m. Police found the couple's young child unharmed in their home. Authorities locked down the gated community for several hours as a multi-agency manhunt ensued throughout the posh neighborhood and wooded areas that include a private golf course.
“The suspect in this case is in custody,” Brentwood assistant police chief told the Williamson Herald earlier in the day. “He was arrested in the Governors Club at approximately 6 a.m. this morning.”
After what police described as an “extensive overnight search for the suspect,” Maidens was taken into custody he approached the rear of his residence on foot.
Brentwood police charged Maidens with criminal homicide. He was transported to the Williamson County Jail where bond was set at $2.5 million. His initial court appearance has been set for May 2, 2013 at 1 p.m. in Williamson County General Sessions Court.
