Sunday marks the day on the calendar – Father’s Day – to pay tribute to dad, who dedicates his time and care to family affairs 24-hours a day rain, snow, sleet or shine. He who mows, repairs, wipes noses, cheers at ball games, and even drives the whole way on 10-hour long family trips, also dishes out pretty great advice along the way.
The “Williamson Herald” hit the Main Street to ask passersby:
“What is the best advice that your father has ever given you?”
“Don’t be afraid.”
Fallon Keith, 8, Franklin
“Don’t be disappointed when you can’t make some people happy because some people just won’t let you make them happy.”
Mitzi Maynard, Franklin
“To find out on your own instead of listen to other people.”
Jason Potts, Duck River, Tenn.
“To listen to past generations and learn from their mistakes as well as your own. History repeats itself.”
Ken Judd, Lexington, Ky.
