Former 'Herald' staffer to hold book signing June 13
Former Williamson Herald managing editor and first-time author Donna O'Neil will hold a book signing at Handy Hardware, 731 Columbia Ave., Franklin, June 13 from 3 to 7 p.m.
O'Neil's first book, "Instrument of Courage" was released exclusively for Kindle users in May and is now available in paperback.
The fiction book follows the story of Larry Parker as he goes back to his college town to attend the funeral of a former garage band mate. His time there makes him long for the old days. He visits old haunts and new ones, which give him pause to think about his current marriage and lifestyle.
According to early reviews, O'Neil "breathes life into her believable characters. She bring compassion and sensitivity to the ups and downs of the long view of life, looking backward an forward."
Her writing has been compared to that of John Grisham and she "writes well with a smoothness that lets the pages turn with ease."
"Instrument of Courage" is available at a cost of $5.99 and is available exclusively at Handy Hardware in Franklin. For electronic copies, download for Kindle or Kindle app users from Amazon.com for 99 cents.
