State Sen. Jack Johnson (left) and his band The Austin Brothers debuted their first album, “The Austin Brothers,” at Puckett’s in Leiper’s Fork before a large audience of fans June 11. The Austin Brothers have become known for their old-time country style with a touch of bluegrass. Proceeds from the performance benefitted the Davis House Child Advocacy Center.
During the evening, Wendell Moore presented DHCAC Executive Director Marcus Stamps a check for $1,000 on behalf of DentaQuest in honor of Johnson and his work with the Child Advocacy Center.
Proceeds from future sales will benefit the Suzanne Johnson Scholarship Endowment and the Davis House Child Advocacy Center.
The CDs are $10 and may be purchased at Puckett’s in Leiper’s Fork, the Leiper’s Fork Market, at Harlinsdale during the Raise the Roofs event and at band performances.
