Community First Bank & Trust Appoints Two New Directors
Columbia, Tenn.-based Community First Bank & Trust board of directors recently appointed Brown Daniel and Mike Penrod as new directors for the company and bank boards.
“Mr. Daniel and Mr. Penrod will both bring valuable experience and vitality to Community First.” said Eslick Daniel, chairman of the board. “Their knowledge in diverse industries will enhance the Board and we look forward to working together with them.”
Brown Daniel is founder and president for Compass Capital, LLC, an investment company located in Franklin. He serves as treasurer of several privately held companies in the real estate, finance and manufacturing industries. He is currently the board chairman of the Boys and Girls Club of Franklin and Williamson County and a member of the board of visitors of Battle Ground Academy. He is also a member of the Williamson Medical Center Board of Trustees where he serves as secretary/treasurer. Brown was a founding member of the Thompson’s Station Municipal Planning Commission and served as its first chairman. Brown holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Richmond in Virginia. He lives in Thompson’s Station with his wife Amy and their three children.
Mike Penrod is vice president and an engineer of 29 years for Industrial Contractors, Inc., an industrial construction and equipment rental company in Columbia. With more than 33 years of experience in engineering, he began his career in Knoxville at Tennessee Valley Authority prior to returning to Maury County in 1984. Mike is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, CHS Athletic Boosters and is an active member in the community. A graduate of Columbia Central High School, Mike was raised in Maury County and holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. He lives in Maury County with his wife Margot and is a member of Friendship Baptist Church.
