Passersby name favorite hot spots for fireworks

Happy Fourth of July! Today, Williamson County will be draped in red, white and blue as families and friends participate in celebrations of America’s freedom and independence. After a day of grilling, waving flags and relaxing with family, many will be searching for the perfect spot to watch fireworks – weather permitting if you’ve seen the forecast.

The Herald hit Main Street to ask passersby, “What is your favorite hot-spot to watch fireworks?”

“I like to find a spot on top of the parking garage in downtown Franklin and watch the fireworks. It’s the perfect spot.”

Seth Livingston, 18, of Franklin

“Crockett Park is our family’s favorite spot for the Fourth of July. The playground, fireworks and entertainment appeal to everyone, all ages.”

Janelle Anderson of Brentwood

“We hop around each year to watch the fireworks in Franklin – the downtown parking garage and Fieldstone Park.”

Bob Galoppi, Williamson County Rescue Squad

“In years past, I went to the Franklin Recreation Center to watch the fireworks in the field with my family.”

Gabrielle Segura, 16, of Franklin
