Bethlehem UMC Fish Fry set for July 19

The 39th annual Bethlehem Fish Fry is set for Friday, July 19 at 4:30-8 p.m. at Bethlehem United Methodist Church, 2419 Bethlehem Loop Road in Franklin.

New this year is the addition of a free children’s game area with admission to the Fish Fry. Music will be provided by 5 Points Swing and the Bethlehem Bluegrass Band.

The pretty Garden Emporium will be back again. Sponsored by the church Garden Angel Society, the emporium features a variety of hand-made products including soaps with Jewel Weed, a natural antidote for poison ivy, charming note cards with dried flowers, printed cards featuring an original water color by member Sonny Woodruff and small decorative birdhouses – all created by the Garden Angels.

More than 1,400 pounds of pond-raised catfish will be served at the fish fry along with hushpuppies, sliced tomatoes, white beans and delicious cole slaw made from a secret recipe.  The silent auction includes several great trips, beautiful artwork, home décor, themed gift baskets and more.

Tickets for adults are $10 in advance and $13 the day of the event. Children 10 and under are $6 and children under 3 are free. Hot dogs are available for children and a separate carryout serving area is provided.
