Anne Carothers exhibits at Brentwood Library through July

The Friends of the Brentwood Library are showcase artist Anne Carothers, oil painter, exhibiting for through July. Her life as an artist began after obligations to children were fulfilled, and after she graduated with a degree in fine arts.  Earnest work in her studio in Beersheba Springs, Tenn. helped her to develop her own style of painting.

As a Southerner her painting subjects mirror her affinity for Southern woods, crops, history, spirituality, and people.  She is absorbed with painting- teaching art to adults and children, publically speaking about the value of art, and playing around with oil paint at every opportunity.

The Brentwood Library is at 8109 Concord Road in Brentwood. The exhibit may be viewed during business hours, Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, 1-6 p.m. For information, call 615-371-0090 or visit Brentwood-tn.org.
