Franklin driver who hit car in drive-thru facing third DUI, other charges

At 2:26 on July 18, 30-year-old Joshua Stark struck a car in front of him in the drive-thru line at Steak ‘n Shake, 4440 Carothers Parkway. Stark left the scene, but was stopped by officers a short time later. Stark was found to be impaired, and open alcohol was located inside of his vehicle.
 
Stark, charged with DUI – Third Offense, Violation of the Implied Consent Law, Leaving the Scene of a Crash, Failure to Report a Crash, Driving on a Revoked License – Second Offense, and Having an Open Container. He is free on a $5,000 bond and due in court on August 1 at 1 p.m.
 
According to the Governor’s Highway Safety Office, impaired driving and impaired-related crashes constitute one of the nation’s leading health problems. These events result in more deaths each year than do total homicides, and alcohol is a factor in 35% of all crashes in the United States.
