Kimbros Cafe hosts renowned songwriters for Democratic Party event

Nashville’s most respected songwriters will take stage at Franklin’s Kimbro’s Café Monday from 6-9 p.m. as the Margin Street venue hosts “Make it Blue” for the Williamson County Democratic Party.

Music lovers will recognize famed recording artist Bill Lloyd, recently profiled on National Public Radio’s All Things Considered. As the partner of ‘80s RCA country-rock duo Foster and Lloyd, he continues his career at the First Amendment Center in Nashville serving as music director.

Danny Flowers has written for such icons as Don Williams, Eric Clapton, and Emmylou Harris. He has penned such hits as “Tulsa Time” and “Gulf Coast Highway.”

Todd Sharp wears two hats. He is the chair of the Tennessee Democratic County Chairs Association. Meanwhile, he continues his music career, which includes playing with or writing for Bonnie Raitt, Delbert McClinton, Carlene Carter, and French rock legend Eddy Mitchell.
