Co-op hosts Hunter Appreciation Day
The Franklin Williamson Farmer’s Co-op will be hosting a Hunter Appreciation Day Saturday from noon to 3 p.m. at the Co-op site on Eddy Lane.
Events include archery and BB-gun ranges for youth manned by the local 4-H Sport Shooting group. The Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency will also be on hand with their shooting simulator.
“We sell clothing, tree stands, shooting houses and all types of hunting supplies,” said long time manager Larry Dale. “Sometimes people forget we have much more than just farm supplies and everyone is welcome to shop here.”
Dale is also providing refreshments, while several vendors will be on hand to demonstrate new products and answer questions about all products. Special pricing on hunting clothing and supplies will also be available.
The Williamson Farmer’s Co-op has been operating in Franklin for nearly 70 years and is governed by a seven-person Board of Directors. Formed to take advantage of the buying power of large numbers of farmers, the Co-op, while maintaining its roots in agricultural, animal and equine supplies, has expanded over the years to include products for family pets, home gardens and clothing for work and hunting.
