Volleyball opens with Brentwood BLASTOFF

The high school volleyball season starts in earnest next week, but twenty-nine teams will start early with Brentwood’s BLASTOFF Play Day Saturday at the A-Game Sportsplex in Coolsprings.

All ten Williamson County teams will be playing in the event that had drawn new District 11-AAA member Dickson County, several Rutherford County teams and Ooletwah from the Chattanooga area.

Play begins at 8 a.m. and continues for 12 hours on 12 different courts, allowing both varsity and junior varsity teams to work out any final kinks before the start of the regular season.

Admission is $6 for the twelve hour, 144-contest day, with proceeds benefitting the Brentwood volleyball program.
