Volleyball dominates Tuesday sports landscape

Volleyball takes center stage today in Williamson County, with several key match-ups.

The big battle comes at 6 p.m. at Centennial where the Lady Cougars will try to leverage home court advantage into sole possession of second place in District 11-AA when they host Ravenwood.  Both teams have only one loss on their records, both falling to district leader Brentwood.

The Lady Bruins will be traveling to Independence for a  6 p.m. match-up, hoping to keep the dangerous Lady Eagles in check.  Even with an upset loss, Brentwood would retain the district lead, though with a record tied with either Ravenwood or Centential.

Summit is at home against Dickson County in a match that will be key to seeding for the district tournament next month.

In Class AA, Page, undefeated in District 11-AA, hosts Giles County in a contest of two of the district’s top teams, while Fairview must travel to Hickman County for a District 12-AA tilt.
