Franklin City Administrator climbs Mt. Kilimanjaro
Franklin City Administrator Eric Stuckey reached the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Africa this week with his brothers, Kent and Doug.
The trio proudly holds the City of Franklin flag at the mountain’s peak about 8,300 miles from its home in Franklin. Stuckey began his ascent Sept. 2 and climbed 8 days to the top of the tallest mountain in Africa. He trained for about 3 or 4 months by running, hiking and lifting weights. The world-travelling, adventurous brothers will conclude the trip by going on a safari.
“Everyone at the city is very proud of Eric,” said Mayor Ken Moore.
“This is quite an accomplishment for him personally and for our city and community!”
