Obituary: Emory Braskey James
Emory Braskey James, age 56, of Franklin, Tenn. died Sept. 25, 2013.
James was born in Ashland, Ky to the late Oscar and Pauline James. He was a retired surgery instrument tech with Vanderbilt Hospital. He loved to play the harmonica and was a big University of Kentucky fan.
He was preceded in death by sister, Beth Dickson. He is survived by wife, Betty James of Nashville, Tenn.; son, Matthew James of Boyton Beach, Fla.; brothers, Bobby (Alma) James of Chapel Hill, Tenn. and Dean (Suzann) Hammonds; sisters, Sylvia (Steve) Wheeler and Jean (Chris) Porter all of Nashville, Tenn.; brother in-law, Bobby Dickson of the Bethesda Comm.; granddaughter, Lilie James; special niece, Alicia King and other nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be conducted 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Ward Jones officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at WILLIAMSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 615-794-2289. www.williamsonmemorial.com
