Brentwood, Ravenwood, Page all face potential elimination today

The volleyball season could come down to a few short minutes today as three of the state’s premier programs enter regional competition, where a first-round loss would end their season.
Brentwood plays host to the Region 6-AAA tournament beginning with a 4:30 p.m. match-up between Ravenwood and District 12-AAA champion Overton.  The Bobcats come into the event undefeated in the Nashville area.  The host Bruins will follow with a 6 p.m. contest with Nashville runner-up McGavock.
The losers of those two contests will be eliminated from further play.  The winners will battle at 7:30 p.m. for the regional title, with the winner hosting a sectional event Thursday night and winner traveling to the winner of Region 5-AAA at the same time.
Page faces much the same scenario, traveling to District 11-AA champ Hickman County as the District 12-AA champion.  Hickman County opens the action with CPA at 4 p.m. with Page taking on Creek Wood at 5:30 p.m.  The winners will meet at 7 p.m. for the Region 6-AA title and both teams will advance to Thursday’s sectionals.
A win Thursday propels teams into next week’s state championships in Murfreesboro; a loss Thursday would end the team’s season.
