Smith Preschool marks Breast Cancer awareness

Tuesday was “Pink Out” in support of October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month for the students and teachers of Smith Preschool on Battle Avenue.

Founder and owner Inge Smith, a breast cancer survivor of more than 20 years, started Smith Kindergarten in 1952. Teachers, from left, are Kacy Pantall, Smith, Anne Ryon, Carmen Basham and school director, Claudia Moore, left front.
Preschoolers, from three to five years old, showed their support in between their favorite afternoon activities on the 61-year-old school’s playground.
