March set for 149th Anniversary of the Battle of Franklin

In a commemorative event to highlight the 149th anniversary of the Battle of Franklin, a “March to The Carter House” will take place with SUVCW Fort Donelson Camp # 62 and SCV Sam Davis Camp # 1293 marching Nov. 30, 2013 at 4 p.m.
 SCV Sam Davis Camp # 1293 will assemble on Winstead Hill and SUVCW Fort Donelson Camp # 62 will assemble at the Fort Granger Marker (Pinkerton Park).  
 
Re-enactors in their respective uniforms will lead with families and friends joining. Franklin Police Department will provide an escort. At approximately 4:30 p.m., a cell phone call from SCV will signal SUVCW to start.
 
SUVCW, led by 10th TN U.S. Inf  SRV Color Guard, commanded by Capt. David DuBrucq,  will  march from the Fort Granger marker in Pinkerton Park to the Carter House. 
 
The column shall march on a designated route that begins on Murfreesboro Rd. (Fort Granger/Pinkerton Park) and continues to Church St., then to Columbia Ave to the Carter House.
