Training, placement essential to mission of WFE

WorkForce Essentials, Inc., which oversees several education and job training programs in Williamson County, held an annual awards breakfast recently to recognize individuals and businesses, who have excelled through the organization. WorkForce Essentials, located off Columbia Ave. on Noah Drive, is a resource to residents for job placement and training and a service to employers seeking staffing needs in Williamson County. WFE is a private, non-profit corporation. The organization provides services through the WorkForce Investment Act (WIA) program and the Jobs for Tennessee Graduates (JTG) program.

WFTN Customer of the Year Kiara Rodgers, not pictured, was also recognized for her career achievement at The Gardner School of Franklin. 

Cathy Dennis, JTG instructor, left, attended the breakfast along with her award-winning student Franklin High School graduate and Berry College freshman Cayla Jones and Jones’ father David. Jones, who said she is considering majoring in business at Berry College because of her experience in the JTG Program at FHS, spent her summer working for CUTCO. She plans to return to the company next summer. Submitted
