Empty Chair Service Helps Families Cope With Loss

The Franklin Vineyard church is opening its doors to all the grieving members of the community. On Wednesday, Dec. 4, the Franklin Vineyard is hosting an Empty Chair service to honor those who must cope with the loss of a loved one due to death, divorce, or other circumstances during the holiday season. Grief is especially poignant in this time of year, but no one should have to face their grief alone. This service will foster an environment of comfort and acceptance for those who suffer these aches of the heart.

It will be a contemplative service that allows participant's pain to be named and moving them towards hope. Their feelings will be affirmed as they are invited to reflect on their pain and grief and then to write out their thoughts and place them by the empty chair.

The Empty Chair service will be held from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Franklin Vineyard Church building at 308 Jordan Road, Franklin. All those who wish to attend are welcome.
