Internet shopping class offered in College Grove Dec. 11 and 18

FiftyForward College Grove will offer a new computer class, “How to Shop for Things on the Internet,” to be held 10:30-11:30 a.m. Wednesdays, Dec.  11 and 18. The series of three classes is free to members and $10 for non-members.
Class members are can bring their laptop computers and follow the instructor using the Center’s wireless Internet. Students can also receive the information at home to make it easy to shop on the Internet.  Topics for this course include:
• navigating the sites
• how to distinguish a “safe” and “unsafe” website
• where to find the best deals
• what not to do when shopping on the Internet
The instructor for the class will be Courtney Morgan, managing director for a local staffing company. Courtney has also taught computer classes to children and adults for more than ten years at educationl sites, including Rutherford County Schools, Rutherford County Library and Williamson County Library.
