Page, Brentwood notch sweeps

Page swept both games from Fairview in the revival of a county rivalry and Brentwood continued to roll, taking two from McGavock.
At Page 50, Fairview 44
Page had to erase a deficit in the fourth quarter, outscoring Fairview 11-3 in the final stanza, to pick up a 50-44 win over the Yellow Jackets.
Dylan White’s 15 points lead the Patriots, who also got 13 from Matt O’Toole.  Fairview’s Trevin Beique led all scorers with 25.
Brentwood 62, at McGavock 53
Four Brentwood starters notched double figure scoring as the Bruins shook off Tuesday’s first loss of the season by beating McGavock 62-53.
Andy Schumpert (15 pts), Jalen Lawson (14 pts), Jacob Adcock (12 pts) and Jack Bautista (12 pts) lead a balanced scoring attack against the Nashville school.
Smyrna 58, at Summit 45
A four-point half-time lead went sour for Summit as Smyrna outscored the Spartans 38-21 in the second half to claim a 58-45 victory.  
Damonte Williams was slightly above his average, scoring 16 points for the home team and Grant Robinson added ten.
At Page 34, Fairview 27
On a night when offenses struggled, it might not have been pretty, but it counts as a win as Page stopped Fairview 34-27.
Carli Batsell (12 pts) and Elizabeth Hood (10 pts) accounted for nearly two-thirds of the winner’s total scoring in a game that saw neither team score double digits in the last three quarters.
Alli Mazeall scored 11 for the Yellow Jackets.
Brentwood 62 at McGavock 42
The Lady Bruins remained undefeated, beating McGavock 62-42 on the road.  Brentwood doubled the Lady Raiders offensive output at half, holding a 38-19 lead and never being challenged.
Olivia Shealy fired in 22 points and Jenny Roy had 14 to lead Brentwood.
