Patricia Compton Hesson, beloved pioneer in Williamson County banking passes away at 88

Patricia Compton Hesson, age 88, of Franklin, Tenn., passed away Dec. 7, 2013. She began her career as an airline hostess with TWA Airlines for ten years. Hesson was also one of the original banking pioneers in customer service, starting with Williamson County Bank. She was Sponsorship Chair for Relay for Life for many years, member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and Ambassador for Williamson County Franklin Chamber of Commerce.
She was preceded in death by husbands, M. L. Compton and Bob Hesson. She is survived by daughter Cynthia Jackson of Franklin, Tenn.; sons, Philip Compton of Florence, Ala., Jeff Compton of Spring Hill, Tenn., stepson, Terry Hesson of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Sean Aherne, Amanda and Dillion Jackson; and several nieces, nephews and step grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Jim Taylor and Dr. Lynn Hill officiating. Interment Williamson Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers Robert Jackson, Charlie Brown, Wayne Sims, Newton Tillman, Sean Aherne, Jay Jones, Henry Davis and Bill Cook. Honorary pallbearers, Calvin Lehew, Members of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and Members of the Morning Breakfast Club. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Franklin First United Methodist Church or Relay for Life.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday and one hour prior to the service at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 3009 Columbia Ave. 615-794-2289, www.williamsonmemorial.com.
