Local coach offering a Get in Shape for Track with a Winter Training Program

Local track and running coach Gary Gosch is offering a winter training program for youth getting ready for the spring track season. The program, designed for youth 13-18 years of age, will meet on Tuesdays and Saturdays at various sites, and runners have the option of a January program or a two-month, December to February training plan.
Workouts and sessions will cover all aspects of running from stretching, proper running form, pacing, injuries, shoes and clothing, establishing a training pattern, training schedules, racing, warming up and warming down, speed workouts, hill training, tempo runs, mental preparation, cross-training, nutrition and more.
The program is sponsored by Coach Gary Gosch. Coach Gary is a runner and has been a coach for 16 years. He is he head coach for the highly successful Williamson Youth Track Club and has coached numerous state and national All-Americans.
