FHS Senior steps up to support charity with New Year gathering tonight

Franklin High School senior Grayson Hill is beginning her New Year with an eye toward making a dent, even if a small one, into the needs associated with those individuals who suffer from brain injury conditions.

“I just told my mom that I really wanted to do something to help people in need and she suggested I think about a fundraiser at the Red House,” said Hill, a member of Franklin Girls Cotillion.

Tonight for a modest cover charge of $5, which will be collected at the door to raise money for the Tennessee Brain Injury Association, folks of all ages can have a relaxing night out in one of downtown Franklin’s popular private venues.

The Red House is located on Third Avenue between the Public Square and Bridge Street.

In exchange for the contribution, attendees will be treated to an intimate evening of music with performances by a collection of local bands. The show begins at 7 p.m.

Sales from concessions will also go to the Tennessee Brain Injury Association.

The cause Hill selected to support is directly related to the benefits she said her family has received from the association. A relative close to Hill has dealt with a brain injury for years and Hill says this is her turn to try to pay it forward.
