Drowning in Docs: Organizing Paper for the New Year.  6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16.  Are we truly becoming a "paperless" society?  While the idea may be catching on, most of us are still struggling with the volume of paperwork that comes into our homes.  Join Sara Skillen, Professional Organizer and owner of SkillSet Organizing, for an informative and entertaining program on the best methods for getting the mountains of paper under control - whether from work, school, snail mail or even our own buying habits.  Learn what to keep (and how to keep it) and what to toss as Sara takes you step by step through the various types of paper clutter.  Presented in conjunction with January being National Get Organized Month.  
Friday Morning Movie:  11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 17.  Warm up with laughter in January with this comedy classic that features Marilyn Monroe, Jack Lemmon and Tony Curtis.  Witnesses to a mob hit disguise themselves as girls and hit the road with a troupe of female singers in this 1959 movie.  Unrated.
i101 Class:  2:30-4:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17, in the meeting room.  Do you have or are you thinking about getting an iPad or iPhone? Come learn some of the basics.  This roundtable will cover searching, installing and removing apps, creating folders and more.

Writers Critique Group:  10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18 (first and third Saturdays of each month) to provide adult authors with serious, courteous critique of their work.  Please ask at the front desk for location.
Featured Artist – Meg Dillard:  Paintings by talented Williamson County artist Meg Dillard are in the gallery hall throughout January.  
Grid Row: During January, artwork by students of Laine Barley is in the New Books section.  Sponsored by the Arts Council of Williamson County. 
Anime Marathon:  Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 18-19.  Hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday, and 1-5 p.m. on Sunday, in the meeting room.  Eleven total hours of the best and most popular Anime.  Free refreshments and popcorn!  
Homework and Healthy Snacks:  3:30-4:30 p.m. every Wednesday.  If you are between the ages of 13 and 18 and want to work on your homework in the YA room, we will provide a healthy snack to help keep you focused.
Preschool Storytimes:  10 a.m. each Wednesday, and 10 a.m. each Thursday, for children ages 3-5 years, with their parent or caregiver. 
Toddler Storytimes:  10 and 11:15 a.m. on Tuesdays.  Children from 1½ to 2 years, with their parent or caregiver, may attend this free program.

Research shows that one minute of continuous laughter is equal to ten minutes on a rowing machine!  This class is designed for adults to experience their “inner child” and laugh unconditionally. Stitching for Charity. 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon, Tuesday, January 21. Knit and crochet  lap quilts for Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center; hats & scarves for local shelters and non-profit groups; baby items for local hospitals, and a variety of other project.  Bring your knitting needles and/or crochet hooks… we'll provide the yarn and instructions.
