Local CAREGiver honored for commitment and service to seniors
Leilani Kyle has been selected CAREGiver of the Year by the Home Instead Senior Care® franchise office serving Williamson, Davidson, Maury, Marshall, Lawrence and Giles counties. Leilani lives in Columbia and is being recognized for commitment and service to the older adults who are local clients of Home Instead Senior Care, the world’s largest provider of non-medical home care and companionship services for seniors.
“Having CAREGivers like Leilani is what sets us apart,” said executive director Emily Barnes. “Leilani is able to build trust with our clients and their families through her outpouring love, compassion and patience. She is a shining example of what CAREGiving should look like and we are blessed to have her on our team.”
Kyle and her husband married in the Philippines in 2007, then moved to Columbia, Tenn., where they began raising their 3-year-old daughter. Kyle stays very busy balancing the care she provides Home Instead Senior Care clients and the care she provides her daughter. Kyle is most talented at being able to anticipate the next need or desire for clients, Barnes said. When describing the care Kyle provides for her parents, one of the daughters of a local Home Instead Senior Care clients noted, “She makes herself their arms and legs to keep them doing the things they would have been doing in their healthier days.”
