Brentwood Academys girls notch another win
Brentwood Academy’s girls grabbed their thirteenth win of the season against just a pair of losses with a 60-40 win over Nashville Central Christian at home last night. The Eagles’ Sydni Harvey led all scorers with 17 points, while Breuna Jackson and Bria Dial both added 12.
Camden 64 at Fairview 44
Fairview kept it close in the first half before fading over the final 16 minutes, dropping a 64-44 decision to Camden. Jessie Mangrum (18) and Sara Mangrum (14) carried the scoring load for the Yellow Jackets.
At Dickson County 62 Independence 55
The Cougars needed 21 fourth quarter points to stage a 62-55 come-from-behind victory against Independence. The Eagles were led by Katie Pierce (18 pts) and Regan Croff (15 pts).
Brentwood 74 at Summit 48
The Bruins kept their undefeated district run intact, shutting down Summit 74-48. Brentwood had three players in double figures including Jacob Adcock (20), James McPherson (18) and Andy Schumpert (10) while firing in eleven three-point shots.
Summit also had a trio of double point scorers, as Grant Robinson had 14, Damonte Williams 13 and Conner Barnett 11.
Independence 52 at Dickson County 33
Independence rolled to a second straight District 11-AAA victory, defeating Dickson County 52-33 in a defensive gem. Deion Sims and Grayson Murphy both scored 13 points for the Eagles while helping to hold the Cougars to single digit scoring in three of the four quarters.
Camden 57 at Fairview 42
Daniel Jones led eight different Yellow Jacket scorers with 15 points but it was not enough as Camden took a 57-42 win.
At Brentwood Academy 74 Nashville Central Christian 53
The Eagles put 40 points on the board in the first half and cruised to a 74-53 victory over Nashville Central Christian. Ten different Brentwood Academy players scored in the win with Jeremiah Oatsvall (13), Gavin Schoenwald (11) and Ed Wilks (10) leading the way.
