Antiques Grove Show at FiftyForward College Grove set for Jan. 27
Two local dealers will come to the Center on Monday, Jan. 27, to evaluate community and center members' antique jewelry and collectibles. Antiques Grove Show begins at 10 a.m., but participants should begin arriving by 9:30 a.m. on the morning of the show to register. A tasty lunch ($4) will follow at 11:30 a.m.
Jeweler Johnny Turner, of Crown Jewelers in Franklin, will be on hand to examine jewelry. Meanwhile, antiques dealer, Stacey Harris-Fish from Three French Hens in Nolensville, will discuss collectibles and small furniture pieces -- pretty much anything except knives and clocks.
Turner and Harris-Fish will suggest what each item might retail for in their respective stores. They are not appraisers, however, and will not be able to furnish an insurance value.
The Center requests that people bring only pieces that are small enough and light enough to carry themselves, and to please sign up by Thursday, Jan. 23. There is no charge for Antiques Grove Show, however, donations to the Center are appreciated.
FiftyForward College Grove is located at 8607 Horton Highway. The phone number is 368-7093.
