Pre-planning speeds travel process for Williamson Countys airline travelers
Williamson County residents may get some relief during their out-of-state business commutes and leisure travel this winter and spring, but a bit of pre-planning is required.
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority (MNAA) will open an application site at Nashville International Airport Thursday for TSA Pre✓™, an expedited screening program that allows travelers to leave on their shoes, light outerwear and belt, keep their laptop in its case and keep 3-1-1 compliant liquids/gels bag in a carry-on bag.
The application program allows U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents to go through a pre-enrollment process online at www.TSA.gov and make an appointment at the application center at Nashville International Airport to verify identity, provide citizenship/immigration documents and fingerprints.
