FAA issues report on Monday plane crash near Williamson County’s northwest border
 
Residents in the Temple Hills area of the county may have noticed emergency vehicles responding earlier this evening to support Metro with a plane crash near the Kroger’s Shopping Center on Highway 100.
 
The Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority, which regulates John C. Tune Airport, issued the following statement.
 
This is preliminary information about a Gulfstream 690C aircraft that reportedly crashed into a building about 10 miles south of John C. Tune Airport in Nashville. 
 
The Aircraft is registered to a Kansas company. The flight departed Great Bend Municipal Airport in Great Bend, Kansas and was approaching John C. Tune Airport when the accident occurred. According to the flight plan, four persons were on board. 
 
No identifications were released. The Federal Aviation Administration is enroute to the scene. The National Transportation Safety Board also is investigating and will determine probable cause.
