CHP seeks input for grant application

An opportunity to provide more housing for local developmentally disabled families has prompted Community Housing Partnership of Williamson County (CHP) to apply for a state grant.

If chosen to receive the Tennessee Housing Development Agency 2012-13 HOME funding, CHP could buy and rehabilitate four rental-housing units for families of income levels below 50 percent of the HUD median income.

Rental housing purchased under this program will be rehabilitated under the most recent energy efficient guidelines while meeting all codes requirements. The rehabilitation activity will follow all International Building Code requirements and the rental units will be made available to potential developmentally disabled tenants all across Williamson County for group home housing with 24/7 care.

Community Housing Partnership of Williamson County encourages any public input into this application process. Public viewpoints can be expressed in writing to:

Community Housing Partnership of Williamson County
129 West Fowlkes Street, Suite 124
Franklin, Tennessee 37064

Responses will be included with the application submittal, which must be in by March 4, 2013.

The application is a competitive process through Tennessee Housing Development Agency.  Funding will be announced by June 1, with funds available to successful applicants by July 1 through CHP.
