Obituary: Samuel Fleming Farrar, Jr.
Mr. Samuel Fleming Farrar Jr. age 59 of Nashville, Tenn., died Feb. 11, 2014 after a brave and determined battle with cancer. He was a caring father and a loyal friend. A graduate of The Storm King School in New York and Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Fla., Farrar was self-employed in the construction business.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Rudolph Samuel Farrar and Mickie Fleming Farrar; parents, Samuel Fleming Farrar, Sr. and Mary Stumb Farrar; sister, Mickie Lee Farrar.
He was survived by daughter, Allison Fleming Farrar of Brentwood, Tenn.; and stepgrandmother, Waldi Mizell of Nashville; several cousins and many friends. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb 15, 2014 with visitation one hour prior to the service at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Ward Jones officiating. Interment, Mt. Hope Cemetery. Active pallbearers: Mike Arwood, Frank Dooley, John Ellis, John Mosley, Bob Perry, Dudley West, Donald Cowan and Tommy Sanders. Honorary pallbearers: Andrew H. Mizell IV, Henry B. Forrest and Thomas C. West, Jr. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
