Student exchange program expands to Germany

Sister Cites of Franklin and Williamson County announced an additional opportunity for local high school students to experience education and culture in a foreign location with the addition of a student exchange to Germany.

Upcoming sophomores or juniors entering the 2014-15 school year have until March 15 to apply for group exchanges to Carleton Place, Ontario, Canada or Bad Soden am Taunus, Germany.

The German exchange will include up to six students traveling on May 27 thru June 10. Up to four students will be selected for the Canada trip, May 28-June 4.

Both groups will accompanied by an adult chaperone and stay with hosts selected by the local organizations. Students will be required to help defray the trips’ costs through a $600 fee for Canada and a fee not expected to exceed $1500 for Germany. Applications are available at sistercitiestn.org
