Aldermen reappoint Black as FHA chair
Scott Black was reappointed Franklin Housing Authority board chairman this week, following a recommendation from Mayor Ken Moore and unanimous approval by Franklin’s Board of Mayor and Alderman.
Black, who has served as chairman since 2009, has led the authority through a redevelopment program that includes the addition of a senior residence that replaces nearly 300 units of low-income housing.
The FHA is in the process of a multi-faceted redevelopment program to replace units that date back to 1953.
Black is currently a executive with Harpeth Associates, LLC, the developers of a multi-million dollar hotel/retail/apartment project in downtown Franklin on Second Ave. and Bridge Street block of East Main Street.
