Williamson County house fire

A fire consumed a Williamson County home Wednesday morning, rendering it a "total loss" according to county first responders.

A Williamson County family lost their home to a fire early Wednesday morning.

Williamson County Rescue Squad was dispatched to the home on Sycamore Road, south of the Leiper's Fork area, just after 2:30 a.m.

While Fairview Fire Station 31, Williamson County Emergency Management Agency, Williamson County Emergency Medical Services and Williamson County Sheriff's Office all joined the rescue squad in responding to the incident, icy road conditions in the hilly area delayed emergency response.

The Williamson County Highway Department assisted the effort by salting the roads and clearing a better path for first responders.

No injuries were reported related to the fire, but the rescue squad deemed the home a "total loss," adding that the American Red Cross is providing support to the displaced family.
