A convicted sex offender was arrested by a Franklin detective this week after he was walking through a park where he wasn’t supposed to be.

According to the Franklin Police Department, the detective saw Howard Anderson, a convicted sex offender, walking through a local park. After confirming who Anderson was and that he wasn’t supposed to be in places like the park, the detective obtained a warrant and arrested him.

Anderson was charged with violation of the sex offender registry, a Class-E felony. He was released from jail after posted a $1,500 bond and is due in court on Dec. 21.
