Franklin candidate forum

Candidates for Franklin alderman in Ward 3 and at-large participate in a forum on Sept. 7, 2021.

Five community organizations will band together Monday to present a candidate forum for those seeking office in the Oct. 26 city of Franklin election.

The forum, in which the candidates will choose their question moments before answering, will be held at Franklin City Hall from 5:30-7 p.m., and all candidates on the ballot have been invited to participate.

The forum is being presented by Franklin Tomorrow, Leadership Franklin, Williamson County Association of REALTORS, Williamson Herald and Williamson, Inc.

Each candidate will be offered the chance to deliver a one-minute opening statement, as well as a one-minute closing statement. The candidates will answer individual questions which have been prepared by the presenting organizations but which are randomly selected through a blind draw by the candidate as the event occurs. There will be no advance knowledge of the questions by the candidates.

The public is invited to attend the event, which will also be televised by the city of Franklin TV channel.
