State Representative Glen Casada (R-Franklin) announced a new award of $3,000 for the Williamson County Archives.

The award is a local archives development grant for helping to improve and maintain the historical records of Williamson County.

“It is so important to preserve our historical heritage for future generations of Tennesseans,” Casada said. “I am grateful for the additional funds we now have for our Williamson County Archives.”

Archives staff say the award will be used specifically for archival cleaning, development and processing.

Casada has served as a state representative in Williamson County since 2002.
