National Voter Registration Month

September is National Voter Registration Month in Tennessee.

Chad Gray, administrator of elections for Williamson County, has announced September as National Voter Registration Month in Tennessee and reminded all citizens of the importance of exercising their right to vote.

“The citizens of Williamson County have consistently been ranked as the No. 1 county in Tennessee among all 95 counties in voter participation in three out of the last four November general elections,” he said. “We want to continue that trend by encouraging everyone to register to vote or change their address in a timely manner to avoid any problems when you go to cast your ballot.”

Online voter registration makes the process easier than ever in Tennessee.

The National Association of Secretaries of State has declared Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2019, as National Voter Registration Day.

An individual must be registered in their county of residence no later than 30 days before Election Day in order to vote.
