State Representative Sam Whitson (R-Franklin) has announced Franklin resident and civic leader Allena Bell will serve as his 2020 re-election campaign treasurer for the 65th House District in the Tennessee General Assembly.
Bell is well known for her years of dedicated service as treasurer on the Franklin Special School District (FSSD) Board of Education while also serving on the board of directors for the not-for-proﬁt Youth Leadership Franklin organization and chairman of the board for Franklin Tomorrow, Inc.
Whitson was grateful Bell, a constituent of the 65th House District, agreed to serve as the campaign treasurer for his re-election. Whitson stated she is well known and highly respected throughout the Williamson County community and with fellow Republicans.
“Her actions demonstrate her strong belief and conviction in faith, family and our nation,” Whitson said. “Allena has spent her career demonstrating a passion for providing opportunities for all citizens across Middle Tennessee and is known for her astounding leadership ability to ensure successful outcomes in a wide range of organizations. Also, Allena’s service on the advisory boards for First Citizens National Bank and for Smart Women Middle Tennessee will ensure expert ﬁnancial management and accountability in next year’s campaign.”
Professionally, Bell has held sales and marketing roles with notable companies such as Johnson and Johnson, American Home Products and Chick-ﬁl-A since earning a degree in government from Liberty University.
She and her husband, Gary, who is managing director of Ronald Blue Trust - Nashville, have four children and have been Franklin residents for 23 years.
Whitson will make a formal re-election campaign announcement at a later date.
