WCS App Launch

Families involved in Williamson County Schools can now download an app for Apple and Android to stay up-to-date with their school news and have an additional means of communication with school staff.

Parents can now stay up-to-date with the latest news, calendar events and notifications with Williamson County Schools’ free mobile app.

The app, which is now available for download in the App Store or Google Play, will allow users access to information and resources quickly on their mobile devices. That includes everything from school calendars to lunch menus. Families will also have easy access to information about their students’ grades, attendance and more.

Other features include a staff directory which will make employee contact information easy to find and a tip line which provides students with a way to share information with the district about everything from bullying to school threats. In addition, users will be able to customize the app by selecting which schools they want to follow.

“We’re excited to provide our families with a mobile app that gives them quick access to the information they need most,” said WCS Communications Director Carol Birdsong. “More than 90% of respondents to our communications survey last year said they would consider downloading a mobile app if the district had one, so we’re thrilled to be able to offer this as another communication tool.”
