Jerry Thomas Marlin, 74 of Franklin, Tenn., died Jan. 24, 2010. He was a member of Leiper’s Fork Primitive Baptist Church and was retired from Worthington Manufacture. Mr. Marlin was born in Williamson County.
He was preceded in death by his parents James Taylor and Effie Tomlin Marlin; his son, Roger Dale Marlin; brother, Doug Marlin; sister, Mary Marlin. Mr. Marlin is survived by wife, Betty Jean Frost Marlin; sons, Jerry Wayne (Jeanne) Marlin and Terry W. Marlin; daughter, Linda Dianne (David) Cartwright; brother, Herbert (Mattie) Marlin; sisters, Ellen “Till” Bogle all of the Harpeth Community and Jimmie (Robert) White of the Rudderville Community; grandchildren, Doug, Joe, Nichole, Marshall and Kelly Marlin and Will Cartwright; six great grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home; Bro. Clifton Johnson officiated. Burial followed in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Pallbearers were Marshall, Doug, Joe and Mark Marlin, Gerald Simmons and Calvin Taylor.
Memorials may be made to Leiper’s Fork Primitive Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society.
