Hugh M. Sr. “Mr. Hugh” “PaPa” Williams, 93 of Franklin, Tenn., died Jan. 17, 2013.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during WWII as 2nd Lieutenant. Mr. Williams was retired from the U.S. Postal Service.
He was preceded in death by wife of 67 years, Liberty Williams. Mr. Williams is survived by children, Ann (David) Petty, Hugh (Charlene) Williams, Jr., Cheryl Carr and Ronald “Digger” (Judy) Williams; sisters-in-law, Phyla Bodden of Utila, Honduras and Evelyn Williams; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Jim Taylor officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Grandsons and great-grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, 4-8 p.m. and two hours prior to the service at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
