Barbara Anne Minkoff Felch, obituary
Barbara Anne Minkoff Felch, 67, of Nashville, Tenn., died Friday, March 29, 2013.
Mrs. Felch was born in Rock Hill, SC, on October 16, 1945. In 1969, Mrs. Felch moved from Woodbury, NJ, to Nashville, where her new family life began with her husband, Jim, and their two sons, J.W. and Thomas. Mrs. Felch spent the majority of a rewarding teaching career at The Ensworth School and touched countless lives in her role as Madame Felch. Mrs. Felch unparalleled love for family, faith, and community was an enduring quality that touched anyone whose life crossed her path. Always looking for the next great adventure, Mrs. Felch loved traveling the world, visiting with friends, and perhaps, most of all, spending time with her three boys. The remarkable bravery she exhibited during her life-long battle with lupus serves as inspiration for many who currently struggle with the disease. Mrs. Felch always loved a good party; she and her light-up-the-room personality will be sorely missed.
Mrs. Felch was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Avaleen Hannon Minkoff.
Mrs. Felch is survived by her husband, Dr. James (Jim) W., her father, William T. Minkoff, Sr., her two brothers, William (Bill) T. Minkoff, Jr. (Elizabeth), and Thomas H. Minkoff (Elise), her two sons, J.W. (Andrea) and Thomas (Christina), her granddaughter, Cali, and an extended network of family and friends.
