James P. Davenport, obituary

James P. Davenport, 90 of Franklin, Tenn., died April 13, 2013.

Mr. Davenport was a Veteran of WWII. Mr. Davenport served as Sergeant in the Battle of the Bulge, Cologne Plaines, and Ardennes Forrest. Mr. Davenport is a member of Patterson Baptist Church.

Mr. Davenport was preceded in death by parents, Robert and Eva Morris Davenport and seven siblings.

Mr. Davenport is survived by wife of 67 years, Mattie “Ma” Davenport; son, Larry (Carolyn) Davenport; daughters, Reba (Gene) Polk and Ona (Bob) Young; grandchildren, Jamie (Debbie) Polk, Amy (Clint) Hart, James and Megan Davenport; great grandchildren, Sydney and Weston Polk, Mattie and Lila Hart.

Memorial services were held Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.

Arrangements are by Williamson Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Franklin.
