Brentwood seeks registrants for Citizens Fire Academy

The city of Brentwood invites the public to participate in the Citizens Fire Academy, to increase public awareness by familiarization and information. Through education, demonstration and participation, citizens will better understand who, what, where, when, how, and why the Brentwood Fire Department does the things it does. Class days will focus on fire service history, organization, recruitment, fire safety and prevention, CPR, EMS, and fire operations. Two Saturday sessions will provide participants the opportunity to participate in the combat challenge and hands-on fire and rescue training. Graduation and awards will be held Nov. 7.

The program is open to Brentwood citizens 21 years or older, that are interested in learning about the fire service. Class size will be limited to 20 participants.

Additional information and applications are available online at www.brentwood-tn.org/fire/cfa, or by calling 615-371-0170 or email cfa@brentwood-tn.org.

The deadline for applications is June 30.
